Movement Controller receives a JFCNP Commander’s Commendation

Sgt Senior was assigned to North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Joint Force Command Naples (JFCNP) in Apr 2014 as the Transport and Movement staff assistant. Throughout his tenure Sgt Senior has taken part in a multitude of NATO assurance measure exercises, including Ex NOBLE JUMP (Poland) and Ex TRIDENT JOUST (Romania). As a result of his efforts throughout these exercises, Sgt Senior has received a JFCNP Commander’s Commendation.

Sgt Senior fills a highly visible and demanding role supporting the four-star Operational Commander, his Command Group, and any visiting dignitaries.

“The experience gained from working in such a unique and diverse environment is invaluable; it’s not always easy working in such intense conditions but it is certainly something that everyone can benefit from”.

Outside the Office

Sgt Senior has found time to represent JFCNP in the annual Field Gun competition at HMS COLLINGWOOD. Having the opportunity to represent NATO and The Royal Logistic Corps in this world famous event is a once in a lifetime experience. “The feeling when marching out on competition day in front of hundreds of spectators is unmatchable. Anyone who ever has the chance to take part in this historic tradition should grasp it whole heartedly”.

Sgt Senior has also taken part in and finished the annual multinational Mount Vesuvius 10km race. Again this would be recommended to anyone who likes a good challenge, after all, how many people can say they have run up an active volcano?
