In order to help mark the commemoration, 13 Air Assault Support Regiment took part in Motorcycle racer turned TV presenter, Guy Martin’s D-Day Landing on Channel 4.
The programme took a look at the brave endeavours of those who served before us 75 years ago.
Also in the programme, 47 AD Sqn had a starring role in the aerial despatch of a priceless WW2 motorcycle
D-Day was the turning point of WW2. The invasion of northern France in 1944 was the most significant victory of the Western Allies, helping turn the tide in the Second World War.
