ACC Association – What We Do
Remembrance services in November and Corps Sunday in July each year form the backbone of the ACC Association’s events. But there is a wealth of other events and activities for members to participate in throughout the year, many organised by special interest groups and branches.
Current Activities
There are many Reunion events happening throughout the year run either by the ACC Association Secretary or willing volunteers. For golfers, there are four Society meetings and eight matches against other Corps. There are clubs and societies for special interest groups like the Officer’s Club, the ACC Golf Society, the Sergeants’ Past & Present Association (currently in abeyance) and the Airborne Chefs’ Association. All this activity is in addition to regional lunches and “get-together” events run all over the UK throughout the year. The subsidiary branches organise events for their own members.
The in-house magazine, “The Flaming Cauldron”, is posted to all UK registered members of the Association annually in November. The magazine has a busy members letters section and ex-corps members can try to locate old colleagues by asking the readership, as well as all the news and articles on forthcoming events and reports on previous functions.
